The inspiration for the Trilogy (which I'm currently expanding on), was when holidaying and meeting two Norwegian guys called Eirik and Trond. Trond was a big jovial 'troll' like figure whose obvious sobriquet was'Trond the Troll' and Eirik, the paradoxical opposite of the viking stereotype portrayed by the movie industry. Short and dark-haired, he was the perfect foil for Trond. And so Eirik the Viking was conceived. Unfortunately a certain 1980's film beat me to the punch and I changed Eirik to Ulrak, but in my heart the hero of the books will always be Eirik. (Both Eirik and Trond are pictured in the galley).
So with my two heroes intact and ready to take on the viking world, the story evolved from there. The third influence in their character development was me and I guess you could describe each a representation of my alter-ego, both displaying facets of my own persona and spirit. I'm hoping the series will eventually yield seven to eight books.

The book is currently being reviewed by a Publishing Consultancy (the first step in getting it published). They will advise on how to polish the story to give it its best chance for success. Unfortunately, this process won't be completed until the middle of July, so in the meantime, I thought I would seize the moment and disseminate it to as many people as I could - hence this website.
I will use this site to provide updates on how we are progressing to that end and to whet your appetites with regular snippets and inserts from the book. I may even include some viking wisdom!
